Second Annual Czech Days Kolache Krawl 5K Fun Run/Walk. Saturday morning 8:00 a.m. Women, men, young and not so young, prizes and snacks. Registration 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. at Leonard Cimpl Baseball Park. All ages invited to participate. Prizes awarded to top 2 walkers and the top male and female runner in each age group. Benefit Pickup and Tractor Pull
SUNDAY- Ed and Mike Sedlacek are organizing a pick-up and tractor pull at 12 Noon on Sunday, south of the Tabor Co-op Fertilizer Plant. Proceeds from the pull will be used for improvements at the Leonard Cimpl Bluebird Baseball Park and the Takota Ball Park. Spectators are asked to bring their own chairs. Refreshments will be served on the grounds. NE Nebraska Pullers Association will provide the sled. For more information call (605) 660-3497.
A 65-page book full of photos and newspaper clippings featuring the 78-year history of the Tabor Beseda Dancers from their origin in 1935 with a group of eight to 2013 with approximately 238 dancers.
Cost of the book is $25.00 plus a $4.00 mailing charge.

Tabor Beseda Club Memories Book 1935-2013
Heritage Presentation at Vancura Memorial Park
The Czech Heritage Preservation Society of Tabor is sponsoring one historical presentation of local pioneers on Thursday, June 16 at 5:00 pm. The performance will take place in the historic buildings located in the Vancura Memorial Park located at 120 South Lidice Avenue on Tabor’s main street next to the post office.
Attendees are to gather in the Museum where they will be greeted with a kolache and a beverage before the presentations start. Admission to the program is $5 per person.
Many local re-enactors will present their performances in the Chapel, Chalupa, Store, Jail, and School located in the park. Heritage Presentation characters being honored are: Ferdinand Cach, a carpenter constructing buildings in Tabor and the surrounding area; Johanna Kocer, owner of the land on which the town of Tabor sits; Matt Petrik, leader of the famed Petrik’s Tabor 1890 band; Joseph Vyborny, Tabor’s first mayor; and Joseph Zitka, Jr., the first school teacher in Tabor. Each of these individuals will present a short biography of themselves in park buildings.
Become a member of the Czech Heritage Preservation Society, Inc., yearly dues are $10. Lifetime membership dues are also available.
Souvenirs of Heritage Books, Historical Picture Playing Cards, and Brick Walk Memorial Bricks will be available for sale. The Czech Heritage Preservation Society is a 501c3 organization and any donation to the group is tax deductible.
