Heritage Walk

The Czech Heritage Preservation Society, Inc. of Tabor, SD is promoting a “Heritage Walk” on the grounds of the Vancura Memorial Park Mini Czech Village. The 4” x 8” engraved bricks will be included in the plain bricks that are laid side by side to create a four foot by four foot border around the permanent granite monument in the center of the park. A two foot wide brick paved walkway, also includes engraved bricks, through the park is planned in the future as more bricks are purchased.

The walk is a means of permanently recognizing businesses and organizations, ancestors, individuals, and families or as a personal memorial and in turn helping to preserve and maintain the park and its buildings. The “Heritage Walk” will begin at the memorial monument in the center of the park and progress to buildings located in the park. You do not have to be a member of the Czech Heritage Preservation Society Inc. to purchase a brick.

Each brick purchased may have one, two, or three lines of engraving placed on it. The lines may not be any longer than 15 characters or spaces per line. The cost per brick will be $35 each whether there is one line, two lines, or three lines of engraving. Please request a form from the Czech Heritage Preservation Society, PO Box 3, Tabor, SD 57063 or print out a form to complete and mail in.

Any bricks purchased after May 1 will not be installed until the following year. Complete your brick order form and mail it in so your brick may be included this year.
