Tabor Beseda Dancers

Beseda Dancers perform during Czech Days on Friday at 8:45 PM; on Saturday at 7:15 PM

Since 1948

The traditional Czech dance, "The Beseda,"  is performed by 240 dancers in Sokol Park, young and old alike. The dancers dress in their colorful Czech costumes which their relatives in the Czech Republic and Slovakia might dress in. The Beseda Dancers were honored in 1999 during the two-day celebration.

Eight couple's organized the first Beseda dancers in 1936. Members of the first group were Mr. and Mrs. K.L. Szymanski, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Cacek,  Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Soukup, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Schuch.
